With 3/4 of the planet's surface covered with water, there are lots of places to explore the undersea world. Each spot is unique, and the coast of deep South Texas offers a rich diversity of underwater adventures.

Snorkling or scuba, shore dives or boat dives, guided and unguided adventures -- even a divable shark tank! -- the waters surrounding South Padre Island present multiple opportunities for the diving enthusiasts - from the most casual of snorklers to the most serious of experienced divers.

Our goal is to clue you in on the best places to see underwater flora and fauna in the SPI area, how to get to them, and what you can expect to see. At the moment, these pages are under heavy construction so come back soon for lots more diving stuff!
